Instrument Technician
Job Description:
  • Compliance to HSSE standards and requirements to make Shell Jurong Island (SJI) a safe place to work, and accountable for all assigned Critical activities.
  • Perform Authorized Applicant/Authorized Engineer as per SJI Permit to Work (PTW) requirement.
  • Drive high standard of personal accountability & performance to deliver the Site & Department goals and target.
  • Accountable to perform assigned Critical activities as per Process Safety requirement (HEMP, IPF, etc).
  • Execute and supervise day-to-day maintenance activities including contractor/specialist management as assigned from end-to-end basis to enable high equipment reliability & plant availability. Update maintenance records, investigation findings & prepare relevant reports.
  • Provide feedback on effectiveness of planning for the Corrective and preventive maintenance for site reliability improvement. Support in Bad actors management.
  • Provide support for Turnaround execution in related Process Units (PUs).
  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in compliance with the global maintenance and business processes.
  • Perform standby duty coverage for discipline as required.
  • Carry out any other related duties as required.
  • Diploma / ITE with 2 years relevant experience as Instrument Technician or equivalent
  • Have in-depth knowledge and proven experience in managing a wide range of process conventional instrument / system of different complexity, types and makes
  • Skilful in resolving technical problems arising from conventional instrument / system hardware / software
  • Possess good communication skills to operate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
